Quick answer
While a school's account is active, evidence records stay available in Superadjust. If an account is ever cancelled, records are not deleted straight away: there is a 90-day window to sign in and export everything, followed by a 14-day deletion notice, before content is permanently removed. Separately, Superadjust keeps a 7-year audit trail of account and security events, in line with Australian record-keeping standards.
While the account is active
There is no automatic deletion just because time passes. Evidence stays in production and accessible to authorised users, in line with their role, for as long as the school's account or subscription is active.
If an account is cancelled
Cancelling an account does not delete anything on the spot. Content moves through a documented sequence instead.
- 1.Read-only export window (90 days): the school can still sign in and export everything. Content cannot be created or edited, and AI features are switched off.
- 2.Deletion warning (14 days): around day 90, Superadjust sends a warning by email and, where practical, an in-app notice, explaining that final deletion is 14 days away.
- 3.Final deletion (around day 104): content is scheduled for permanent removal from production. Encrypted backups containing that content are then overwritten in the ordinary course of backup rotation, generally within about 35 days.
What is kept for 7 years
Separately from customer content, Superadjust retains operational and security audit logs, sign-ins, administrative actions, access events, and export activity, for up to 7 years, to support security, dispute resolution, and legal compliance. Billing, tax, and business records are generally retained for at least 7 years too, as Australian tax and record-keeping law requires. Where those logs relate to a deleted account, identifying details are anonymised.
Why this matters
A documented schedule means a school always knows what happens next: export while active, export during the 90-day window if the account is cancelled, and a defined point after which content is gone. Nothing lingers indefinitely, and nothing disappears without warning.
Common mistake
Assuming cancellation means instant deletion, or that nothing is ever removed: Neither is accurate. Cancelled accounts get a 90-day export window before anything is deleted, and content is not kept indefinitely once that window closes.
