Refund Policy
When refunds are available for Superadjust paid plans and credits, and how to request one.
Effective 1 May 2025
1. About This Refund Policy
This Refund Policy explains when refunds are available for paid Superadjust plans and credits, how to request a refund, and how this policy interacts with Australian Consumer Law.
Superadjust is operated by Superhive Pty Ltd trading as Superadjust (ABN 58 683 676 584). This Refund Policy applies to individual teachers using paid Teacher Pro plans, schools using School Pilot, School Essential, School Pro or other school plans, and one-off purchases such as credit packs.
This Refund Policy forms part of the Teacher Platform Terms of Service for individual teachers, and forms part of the School Services Agreement for schools. If there is any inconsistency, the Teacher Platform Terms of Service or School Services Agreement (as applicable) prevails.
2. Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in this Refund Policy excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy available to you under the Australian Consumer Law. The money-back guarantees and other refund options described in this Refund Policy are commercial commitments by Superadjust. They are in addition to, and do not replace, your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
3. Teacher Pro — 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee
If you subscribe to a paid Teacher Pro plan for the first time, you may request a full refund of the first subscription payment within 30 days of the date of that first payment.
To be eligible, all of the following must apply: you are subscribing to a paid Teacher Pro plan for the first time on your individual teacher account; you have not previously held a paid Teacher Pro subscription on the same or any other account associated with your email address; you submit your refund request to privacy@superadjust.com within 30 days of the first subscription payment; your account has not breached the Teacher Platform Terms of Service or the Acceptable Use Policy in a way that would lead to suspension or termination; and the request relates to the subscription payment itself, not to credit packs or other one-off purchases.
Where the request is eligible, Superadjust will refund the first subscription payment in full within a reasonable period, generally no later than 14 days after we approve the request. Your subscription will be cancelled with immediate effect and your account will move into the cancellation lifecycle described in the Data Retention Schedule.
After the 30-day window, the Teacher Pro plan continues for the rest of the billing cycle and auto-renews in accordance with the pricing page and the Teacher Platform Terms of Service. You can cancel at any time, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle. We do not provide refunds for the unused portion of a billing cycle, except as required by the Australian Consumer Law.
4. School Plans — 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee
If a school activates a paid Superadjust school plan for the first time, the school may request a full refund of the first plan payment within 30 days of the date of that first payment.
To be eligible, all of the following must apply: the school is activating a paid Superadjust school plan for the first time on this school account; the request is made by the school's Authorised Representative; the request is submitted to privacy@superadjust.com within 30 days of the first plan payment; and the school account has not breached the School Services Agreement, the Acceptable Use Policy or the AI Use and Output Disclaimer in a way that would lead to suspension or termination.
Where the request is eligible, Superadjust will refund the first plan payment in full within a reasonable period, generally no later than 14 days after we approve the request. The School Services Agreement is treated as cancelled with immediate effect and the school account will move into the cancellation lifecycle described in the Data Retention Schedule.
After the 30-day window, the school plan continues for the rest of the Term in accordance with the School Services Agreement. Mid-Term cancellation rules apply, including the rule that the school is responsible for any Fees that have accrued for the period up to the cancellation date.
5. Credit Packs and AI Credits
Top-up credit packs are one-off purchases. They are non-refundable except where required by the Australian Consumer Law or another applicable law. Top-up credits do not expire and remain on the user's account until used or until the account is closed.
Monthly credits included in a Teacher Pro subscription reset at the start of each billing cycle and do not roll over. Unused monthly credits at the end of a billing cycle are not refundable and have no cash value.
Credits are non-transferable, non-refundable except where required by law, not exchangeable for cash, consumed in accordance with the credit usage rates in force at the time of consumption, and forfeited on account closure, except where the closure is the result of an eligible 30-day money-back refund and the credits were unused.
6. Service Issues
Where a service issue means the platform fails to meet the standard of due care and skill required by the Australian Consumer Law, or otherwise fails to comply with a non-excludable consumer guarantee, you may be entitled to a remedy at law. We deal with such requests on a case-by-case basis.
If you believe a service issue has affected your subscription, please contact privacy@superadjust.com with a description of the issue, the dates and times affected, and the impact on your use of the platform. We will assess the request in good faith.
Where appropriate, possible outcomes for service issues include a service credit applied to your account, a partial refund, a full refund, a free extension of your subscription period, or another remedy agreed with you.
7. Refunds We Do Not Provide
Subject to the Australian Consumer Law and any other applicable law, Superadjust does not provide refunds for:
- Changes of mind after the relevant 30-day money-back window.
- Cancellations made mid-cycle or mid-Term, except as expressly permitted by this Refund Policy.
- Failure to use a feature, including unused monthly Pro credits.
- Reactivations or second subscriptions where the original subscription already used the 30-day money-back guarantee.
- Purchases that breach the Acceptable Use Policy or other Superadjust terms.
- Chargebacks raised without first contacting Superadjust.
- Payment processor fees that Superadjust is unable to recover.
- Third-party fees, such as bank charges or currency conversion fees.
8. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, email privacy@superadjust.com with the email address associated with your Superadjust account, the date of the original payment, the amount of the original payment, the reason for the refund request, and any other information you believe is relevant.
We may ask for additional information to verify the request. We aim to respond to refund requests within 5 business days and to process approved refunds within 14 days.
9. How Refunds Are Paid
Approved refunds are paid to the original payment method used for the relevant purchase, where reasonably possible, or by another reasonable method (for example, a service credit or alternative payment method) if the original payment method is unavailable.
Refunds are processed in Australian dollars. Where currency conversion is involved, the amount you receive may differ from the original payment amount due to exchange rate differences and fees applied by your bank or payment provider. These differences are not Superadjust's responsibility.
10. Chargebacks
If you believe a charge is incorrect, please contact Superadjust before initiating a chargeback with your bank or card provider. Chargebacks raised without first contacting us may delay resolution and may result in suspension of the relevant account while the chargeback is investigated.
Where a chargeback is found to be invalid, Superadjust may pursue recovery of the chargeback amount and any associated fees as a debt in accordance with the applicable terms.
11. Changes to This Refund Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify users or schools. Material changes do not apply retrospectively to refund requests already submitted.
